Fulshear Sprinkler Repair

Why a sprinkler valve box stays wet

An open valve box full of water looks like an emergency. Sometimes it is last night’s storm sitting in a low lid. Sometimes the valve is seeping with the timer off. The difference decides whether you need valve repair or a dry week.

Bail it and wait

With the controller off, empty the box and look again later that day. If it stays empty, rain or a high water table filled it. Clay around Richmond and Fulshear holds that water. If the box refills while no zone is running, the valve or a fitting in the box is leaking.

A zone that will not stop

A station that keeps watering after the schedule ends is the other classic valve symptom. Debris, a torn diaphragm, or a solenoid that is stuck can all do it. Turn the irrigation shutoff off if you know that valve and can do it safely. Then request service. Forcing random handles is how a small seep becomes a break.

Do not blame the timer yet

The controller may be commanding the valve correctly while the valve ignores it. Controller checks still matter if the display shows a fault, but a wet box with a normal display is a valve visit. Leak detection joins the job when the wet area spreads beyond the box into the lawn.

Finding a buried box

In Cinco Ranch and Rosenberg, lids disappear under mulch. The station wire from the controller is a better map than poking the flower bed. Mention which station misbehaves so the search starts at that terminal.

Photos of the box, the station number, and whether water runs with the system off are enough for a useful request. Pair it with system repair if more than one zone acts wrong.
