Fulshear Sprinkler Repair

Sprinkler heads broken or buried after mowing

Heads live where the mower lives. A cracked cap, a head that will not drop, or a geyser after the yard is cut is one of the most common calls on this service area. The fix is usually head repair, and it includes aiming the replacement so the next mowing does not repeat the soak on the sidewalk.

What the mower actually breaks

It shears the cap, fills the nozzle with debris, or snaps a head that was already sitting high. A head that was too low gets scalped in a different way: the blade never hits it, and the grass grows over it until the spray never clears the turf. Both show up the first dry week after a wet spring in Fulshear.

One head or the whole zone

If a single head geysers and the others on that station look normal, replace and re-aim that head. If every head on the station is weak, look for a leak or a valve before you buy a bag of heads. Hidden leak signs and system repair cover that split.

Match the nozzle

The new head has to throw the same rate as its neighbors. Mixing nozzles is how uneven coverage starts. Set the arc off the driveway and the house. In Katy, a new fence may mean the old arc is wrong even if the body is fine.

Keep the next cut from finding it

Heads should sit at grade, not proud of the soil and not in a hole. After a tune-up, walk the pattern once before you mow. If several heads failed in the same pass, say so. A low spot in the grade may be lifting the mower deck into them.

Send the station number and a photo with the request. Head repair is a poor job to describe only as “the sprinklers are broken.”
